While I am still reeling from the tragic loss of Chad Johnson last week, I am walking today with another high school friend who has been impacted by melanoma.
Curtis was diagnosed with a rare but potentially deadly form called uveal melanoma which starts in your eye. He discovered it through a routine eye exam and had zero symptoms.
Together, we are doing our best to get the word out through paulwalks.com because the number cases of skin cancer (melanoma) increase after the age of 50. And people tend to underestimate this cancer which is thought of as just freckles and moles.
I value your presence in my life, so I am asking…
Beyond skin exams, is it time to get your vision checked, a prostate cancer screening, bloodwork, or any concerns addressed?
Listen to Curtis’s story and remember, “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”
Or as Curtis puts it, “go get your sh*t checked!”
